First Acryllic Painting Lesson

Housewife was an art stream student.
However, housewife said farewell to painting and drawing after leaving school and pursued new academic path.

It’s been more than 10 years housewife didn’t really draw/paint although it was once housewife’s hobby.  Thanks God that housewife has chance to pick up this hobby again after so many years. The inspiration came to housewife when housewife scratched head for hubby’s birthday gift this year. Well, since then, housewife started this passion again and has drafted few drawings.

With the encouragement of hubby, housewife signed up acrylic painting class and started first lesson last week. It was really fun!! Meanwhile, housewife has a little motivation when the first piece was chosen to be posted on art teacher’s art gallery on his website although it looks a bit ‘cacat’.
 Here’s the link:

Avocado - Does it look like avocado? :)

A set of art materials used.

Immediately after class, housewife excitedly shared this first piece with her baby sister. Luckily she able to distinguish the drawing and shared the excitement with housewife.
Of course, this piece is dedicated to the supportive hubby who has been collecting paintings for years.  :D Hubby has a painting that he bought @ USD$1500 years ago and now it appreciates to USD$6000 due to the retirement of artist. Therefore, housewife jokingly claimed that housewife’s ‘painting’ will also be appreciated after retirement. Hahah…. On top of that, hubby can save money from buying expensive painting anymore which housewife always nag him for this.
Hubby’s response:” Huh? Serious? Oh My!  Hmmm…” Housewife reckoned that he must be regretted to send housewife to art class.  :P LOL
A begin of new passion in a new journey…. J

  3. haha..Sunnie.. you also interested? alright you get the canvas, and u need the stand too.. for art materials like colors and brush, you can get it from the book shop in Carnavon Street. The beginner need this only..hehe..

Oh Ya, you have to use color pencil to draw it and if you want to erase it, just use water to clean it then use cloth to rub it.. easy.. :D

Well, I'm also very much into water color style to paint it but seem not really nice especially for object. It's ok if for the background ok. If you paint it wrongly, u have to re-paint on the top layer to cover the first layer.. the good thing of acryllic is it dries up easily..so you can improve your painting by cover up the first layer using the new colour you mixed. So sometimes on the certain part of your drawing seem 'thicker'...hahha..

We can draw together one day... may be go to your house and draw it in your garden? :D haha.. and enjoy fruits..

Keep the fruits for me please.... hahah..

  4. Sunnie, you're interested too?? haha.. you're always my buddy!! yeah, it's fun and I enjoy it very much...

Well, as a beginner, we only need the art materials like the colours and brush.. of course, we need canvas and its stand too...

For painting, I'm also very much into water colour and poster colour style but not really the same. So I'm still learning the new skill of painting. It's hard for me to change as I'm already used to water colour style...:P

The beauty of acryllic painting is it dried easily so if you want to correct your painting, you just paint on the top of the layer you've painted to cover it.

Oh ya, use colour pencil to draw and use water to erase it and cloth to rub it if you need to correct your painting. It's pretty easy...

May be find some day we draw together. :D Go to your house and enjoy the fruits in your garden then draw it together.. wow, it sounds cool!!!
